Resources for Health Professionals
At Bright Futures Adoption Center, one of our missions is to provide up to date information and education about adoption for hospital social workers and other health professionals. We are here to help you when you are working with parents who may not be in a position to parent their child and need information about their parenting options.
The resources on this page are designed to help you better understand our step by step process of working with parents who are in these challenging circumstances.
Sometimes in your role, you may be mandated to report to the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families if you have concerns about the safety of a child. Even in these circumstances, we can help if a parent does not want their child to enter the care of the state.
We are here to answer your questions and to help parents in crisis. We are nonjudgmental and nondirective and provide counseling to parents in a compassionate manner so they can make the best choice for themselves and their baby.
