We met in the summer of 2009 and immediately hit it off, having three hour conversations almost every night! We are each other’s best friends and were excited to be married in the winter of 2012 surrounded by family and friends.
Tina
Arthur says …
“There are so many wonderful things about Tina, I don’t know where to begin! She is loving, caring, and compassionate. She is led in all things by her Christian faith. She loves children. She’s a hard worker. She is smart and funny. Tina is focused and gets things done. She cares deeply for her family and also for those who have been treated unjustly in society. Tina is a beautiful person and will be the best mom!”

Arthur
Tina says …
“Arthur is kind and funny, and he can make any situation fun! He loves making music and is a great singer. A good listener and easy to talk to, he is always there for his family and friends. We have grown in love and faith together and I am blessed he is my partner. He is an inspiring teacher to his students and a loving, devoted husband. I know he will make a wonderful father.”

Our family is very important to us and we spend time with them whenever we can. Tina grew up between California and Italy. Tina’s younger sister and her family live in Spain and visit us in the summers. Tina is very close with her mom who lives just 10 minutes away. Tina’s father passed away just before we were married. She visits and Skypes with her family in Italy whenever she can — lots of aunts, uncles and cousins! Arthur grew up in Rhode Island with all of his extended family living very close by. So although he was an only child, he always had lots of cousins to play with. He even has some cousins in Italy he is close with and visits them when we travel.
We love our neighborhood! Our street is quiet, perfect for walks and the neighborhood children ride their bikes and play together outside. We have a big yard with fruit trees and a small garden in the back, where we are often visited by bunnies and turkeys. We’re just a short drive from the schools and look forward to filling our home with children and more love!
We are blessed with a wonderful church community, where Arthur serves as music minister. In our local community, we are surrounded by nature and friends. We live near an organic farm where we play with the animals and get our produce. Both our jobs are very flexible and Arthur has been teaching from home during the pandemic while Tina has always worked remotely. Arthur will be able to take three months of paternity leave when we adopt and Tina plans to stay at home and resume working from home part-time when the child is older.
