About Us

After one of our first dates, we got into a friendly debate about who had the better baking skills. Justin, ever the overachiever, immediately went to the store, bought ingredients, and whipped up his very first batch of chocolate chip cookies from scratch—just to prove his point. He delivered them to Drew, who was impressed, but in a move that perfectly sums up his playful spirit, returned the cookie tin filled with cookies – straight from the bakery that he’d definitely passed off as homemade. That moment wasn’t just funny—it was the start of a relationship built on love, humor, and a whole lot of heart.

We share this story because it perfectly captures us as a couple. We’re always pushing each other to step outside our comfort zones, cheering each other on, and finding humor in life’s small moments. It’s that same energy that inspired us to run a highly successful business together for several years—turning long days into something we loved because we had each other. Now, we’re ready to take on our most meaningful adventure yet: becoming parents. We’re so grateful to have built a life where we celebrate each other’s unique qualities, support each other’s dreams, and, most importantly, make space for a future filled with love, laughter, and maybe a few more cookie experiments.

About Justin

I grew up in a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts, surrounded by my extended family, all of whom lived in the same town. It was a wonderful experience to have family so close, with cousins attending school alongside me. This dedication to family remains strong to this day. We see each other regularly and every family holiday consists of a full house with aunts, uncles, cousins, and their children. I recognize how lucky I am to have this experience and count my blessings every day.

After high school, I ventured to Vermont for college, spending four years immersed in its charm. I loved Vermont so much that I stayed an additional two years after graduation, living and working near my college. However, after six years away, I felt the pull to return to Massachusetts to be closer to my family. Moving back was one of the best decisions I’ve made, as it led to meeting Drew while living in Boston, which forever changed my life for the better.

Justin in Drew’s Words

Justin has taught me what it means to truly slow down and savor life’s simplest, most beautiful moments. When I hear the song “In My Life” by The Beatles, I think of Justin—it perfectly reflects the way he cherishes every person and every experience that crosses his path. Justin is the first to show up with chicken soup when a friend is under the weather and is the one who will alter his own plans to be with a friend after they had a bad day. He has taught me to slow down in life, breath and appreciate the little treasures that life can bring to us.

Justin has this rare ability to turn even the smallest moments into cherished memories. He’s dreamed of becoming a dad for as long as I’ve known him, and I already know he’ll be the kind of parent who shows up for every recital, cheers the loudest at soccer games, and gives the warmest hugs when the day’s been tough.

About Drew

My early childhood was spent on the North Shore of Boston, surrounded by the warmth of a big extended family. Life was a mix of cousins’ laughter, weekend gatherings at our grandparents, and the salty breeze of the beach. When I was six, my parents decided to relocate our family of six to a town close to New York City, where my dad pursued his career. Despite the change, our home was always filled with love, and my siblings and I shared a happy childhood. By the time I was fourteen, my older siblings had graduated high school, and my parents decided it was time for another change—this time to North Carolina, where a slower pace and new opportunities awaited.

After high school, I headed to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, where I became a Division 1 collegiate runner and spent some of the most formative years of my life. I settled in the mountains of North Carolina and then decided to set off on a wild adventure—I set sail for a decade-long career managing cruise ships, exploring one port at a time. Later, I turned my focus to consulting for hotels, traveling across the globe. But after years of living out of suitcases, I longed for the comfort of home. I returned to Boston, ready to be close to family again. Not long after, I met Justin—and suddenly, everything about being back in Massachusetts felt absolutely right.

Drew in Justin’s Words

There is a song in the movie The Greatest Showman that will always remind me of my husband, Drew. The song, “A Million Dreams”, captures him perfectly. The lyrics, ‘Cause every night I lie in bed, the brightest colors fill my head, a million dreams are keeping me awake, I think of what the world could be,’ embody who Drew is. He has a unique way of encouraging you to see every experience, good or bad, as an opportunity to learn and grow. Drew constantly pushes me to be the best version of myself, encouraging me to step outside of my comfort zone while reassuring me that he’s always there to support me if needed.

Sometimes, I marvel at how he manages everything with such intentionality. Drew deeply values his experiences and the friendships he cultivates along the way. I’ve never met someone who works so diligently to keep friendships alive. He reaches out to people he hasn’t seen in years on their birthdays and checks in with others whenever something reminds him of them. His commitment to people and his ability to dream big, knowing we can achieve anything we set our minds to, truly define who Drew is. I know Drew will take these qualities into fatherhood. He will be there to support our future child and all they do and encourage them to shoot for the stars while reassuring them he is there to support them with every step along the way!

Our Boy Gabe

Gabe Matthew is our 5-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever. While Gabe is currently the reigning prince of our lives, we know he will welcome a sibling with open paws. Many of our friends have children, ranging from newborns to teens, and it’s been heartwarming to see Gabe interact with them. Watching him with our friends’ kids reassures us that he will make a wonderful big brother.

Our Home & Community

Our home is nestled in a picturesque rural suburb of Boston, where rolling farms meet the serene ocean. Weekends here are magical, whether we’re exploring the winding nature trails nearby, building sandcastles at the beach with family and friends, or sharing picnics in the backyard. Beyond the natural beauty, our town is known for its exceptional schools and boasts one of the best school systems in Massachusetts, and recently announced a new elementary school to support it’s growth.

While we feel incredibly fortunate to have ended up here, what we cherish most is the sense of community. Both of our extended families live nearby, and it’s common to see them stopping by for a quick hello or joining us for dinner. In addition to our relatives, we have our chosen family—A group of lifelong friends who already refer to themselves as the “aunties and uncles.” Love, laughter, and unwavering support flow through our little village, and we know in our hearts this is the perfect place for a child to thrive, dream, and grow.
