I am a 46-year-old single female who has always seen herself as being a mother.   When I was a young woman I always thought I would have biological children and adopt.  Although I do not have children by birth, I am “auntie” to many children, some whom I have known since birth and helped transition to adulthood.  Caring for others is a part of who I am.

I work as a family nurse practitioner, and I will not shy away from loving a child with medical challenges.  I was a medic in the U.S. Army for 18 years and have two overseas deployments.   Between my time in the Army and working in emergency medicine, I have firsthand experience dealing with trauma and recognizing the need for therapy in myself.  I understand how experiences in the past can impact our current and future wellbeing as well as the importance of getting help early. My background also gives me the unique ability to understand the importance of structure for dependability while still being flexible, or even fluid if that is what a child needs.

I live in rural Hubbardston, MA with my 2 big dogs. We live on 6.8 acres of land with a yard for running and playing, trees to climb and a pool for swimming.  I almost always have music playing while working on DIY projects around the house and enjoy being outside in nature.  My family (mother, father, brother and sister-in-law) and I enjoy trying new restaurants and foods, going to movies and the theater or just sitting around playing card and board games.  My stepdaughter, granddaughter, and I enjoy playing games both inside and out.  I have looked forward to motherhood my whole life and am excited to share everything I have and am with my children.
