If you visit our home any evening, you’ll find us dancing around the kitchen, tasting dinner as it simmers. Laughter fills the air as we share jokes or react to silly moments in our favorite board game. All the while our dog, Hugo, eagerly waits for a chance to join in. No matter the night, whether we’re alone or with family and friends, there’s always a reason to smile and laugh. Adoption is our first choice to build our family and ever since MAPP we don’t do anything without imagining doing it with our child.

Alec is a Graphic Designer by day and a passionate hobbyist by night, filling our home with art projects and quirky trinkets. As the World’s Greatest Nuno (godfather in Greek) to our delightful 9-year- old niece, he encourages her creativity and interest while ensuring she always feels safe and seen. He is a gentle man and a kind friend, helping with everything from fixing toilets to troubleshooting technology. Brenda is a Director of English Language Learning- they are an organized and well respected administrator but will always in their heart be a teacher. Once a traveling spoken word poet, they now support aspiring student poets as their must trusted advisor. Brenda has a unique talent for connecting with kids and adults who are often seen as “difficult”, helping them overcome behavioral challenges, learning differences, or language barriers. Brenda has a gift for making friends and often finds themselves talking deeply and helping them through life’s challenges- often while on a walk in the woods.

We’ve been married for 2 years and together for 8. We will participate equally in raising our child; we are so excited that we will both have plenty of leave from work and flexibility when we return. We are ready for all our friends and family to become our village. Gigi and Papou (Alec’s mom and stepdad) live just 90 minutes away and can’t wait to be grandparents. We are excited to raise a kid surrounded by so many people who will love them, embrace their differences, and show them they are capable of anything.
