Meet the Families

We originally met attending college in Boston in 2003. Even though we did not know it at the time, we created a wonderful and lasting bond that would turn into true love. With mutual respect, understanding, and acceptance of our different backgrounds and cultures, we created a life long partnership.

We found that we had many interests in common which included; traveling to Island resorts, enjoying long weekends in New Hampshire and Maine, and taking joy in family and friends’ special events and parties.

We also have a common passion and love for animals, which led us to adopt our sweet cat Tinkey.

Both of us also appreciate little things like rainy days at home streaming shows on tv, coffee dates, going to the movies, game nights, and trying ultimately to treat each other with love and respect. We are ready to give our unconditional love to a child and can’t wait to celebrate birthdays, holidays, vacations and enjoy everyday family life.

About Daniel

Daniel grew up in a small neighborhood in Boston as an only child to two wonderful parents who have been married for over 40 years. Daniel has a very loving and supportive extended family that he enjoys spending time with on vacations and family outings. Daniel is a hard-working individual who works in the railroad industry. Daniel keeps his family tradition alive by volunteering in an Italian American celebration every summer. Daniel’s hobbies include playing and watching sports, enjoying trips with his family and friends and cooking.

How Lejla talks about Daniel

Daniel is a wonderful husband, partner, and provider. We laugh together daily. He is my rock and he never ceases to amaze me. Daniel is a wonderful godfather to two of our friends’ children. Our friends’ children refer to him lovingly as “Uncle Danny”. He’s compassionate yet strong. He’s loyal and honest. I know he will make an awesome dad. If I ever doubt myself or get discouraged, he is always there. We always strive to fulfill each other’s needs. I love this man and can’t imagine my life without him. The bond we share is truly a gift that we look forward to sharing with a child.

About Lejla

Lejla grew up in Bosnia and eventually migrated to the United States in 2000. Lejla has a mother and an older sister who live nearby, as well as a niece who she absolutely adores and spoils. Lejla graduated high school and furthered her education in college where she met Daniel. Lejla loves nature and animals which drives her passion for gardening and donating to charities involving animals. At heart Lejla is a home body who loves spending time with Daniel, and her cat Tinkey. Lejla is looking forward to being a stay-at -home mom once an adopted child joins our family.

How Daniel talks about Lejla

Lejla is my partner in life. I love her very much, I feel that she is one of the most generous, caring, loving, and thoughtful people I know. She makes me a better person and continually motivates me on our life’s journey. Lejla is always willing to lend a helping hand. More than my wife, Lejla is my best friend. I feel very fortunate to be married to her and have her in my life. Our friends’ children love spending time with “Auntie Lejla”. My wish for her is to have the opportunity to be a mother. There is no doubt she will be a great mother and that we will make an outstanding team as parents.

Our Home

We purchased our home in 2014. Our colonial style home is located in a safe family friendly neighborhood that is a short walking distance to elementary and middle schools, playgrounds and parks. Our home has 3 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an enclosed backyard with a new white picket fence. We enjoy sitting out by the patio and grilling with family and friends. We would feel blessed to share our home and love with a child and can’t wait to see our family room full of toys.
