Meet the Families

Hello! I am a single woman. I have always wanted to be a parent and I am excited about adopting an older child from foster care. I am fortunate to have supportive friends and family and a flexible work schedule! My mother is retired and lives 45 minutes away; she is looking forward to spending time with new grandkids! I work from home 4 days a week as a technology product leader for a healthcare data company. On my day in the office, I have flexibility with my hours and anticipate being able to do birth family visits, therapy and activities with my child.

I am a researcher; I have taken TBRI and read many books about development, trauma and how children heal. I have a lot of experience with children including many years as a Big Sister with Big Sister Boston. I have experienced significant personal losses and supported my little sister through Big Sister Boston after she experienced significant trauma.  As an adoptive parent I will use my book knowledge and my personal experiences to support and advocate for my child as they process their own personal history and grow into the future.

I own my own home on a cul-de-sac that has many other families with children. I have a large yard with lots of room to run and play. I envision playing on the beach as a family, taking walks in nature, playing board games, and more! I have a labrador puppy (Petra) who is gentle and has endless energy for playing.
