Who We Are
We are a kind, generous, and goofy couple that have been married since May 2020 and are looking to grow our family through adoption. We were raised in Southern California and moved to Massachusetts for work in August 2023. We love our cozy home and our two cats Ben & Jerry (yes, named after the ice cream) we share it with. We are proud of the communication, laughter, and love we have in our marriage and can’t wait to share our life and adventures by bringing children into our family.
Hobbies and Interests
We are dedicated to our careers but are intentional to maintain a healthy balance with fun. We enjoy cooking together, playing games (board and video) and traveling.
We usually take the commuter train into Boston monthly to explore. We have three young nephews and one toddler niece, and even though they all live in other states, we enjoy getting to know them and seeing them grow. Mark enjoys building Lego models, watching movies, and cycling for exercise.
Emily enjoys baking sourdough bread, reading, and going for walks around the neighborhood or local pond. We are excited to include our children in these activities and learn new ones from them!
What Makes Us Who We Are
We have experienced loss and grief individually and as a couple. Our shared faith has been an unshakable foundation for us as we navigate the challenges of life together. We have cultivated a deep, strong connection with our community and family locally and afar.
We work hard to make our home a safe place, emotionally and physically, for everyone. Emily is a passionate protector. She loves to serve others by coming alongside them and offering support and encouragement. Mark is a loving listener and people often turn to him for advice, wisdom, or a joke to break the tension.
We are committed to advocating for our children and teaching them how to be compassionate, generous, and kind to themselves and those around them.
