We met at college orientation and became instant friends. During sophomore year we started dating and enjoyed the rest of college as a couple. Four years later, in 2012, Katie’s grandfather married us in front of family & friends. Shortly after, we bought our first home and started settling down. In 2020, Sienna joined our family through adoption. It’s been a joy being Sienna’s parents and we can’t wait to add another little one to our family!
All About Matt
“Matt is funny, smart, loyal, and athletic. He is a loving husband and a passionate dad. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, fishing, cooking, and basketball. He spent multiple summers in the Dominican Republic with families and kids, which gave him a heart for adoption.” -Katie
One of the things Matt enjoys the most about parenting is engaging with Sienna’s curiosity. He includes her in his daily routines, like making his morning coffee. He loves answering Sienna’s questions and helping her figure things out. He can’t wait to add another child to our family and is looking forward to exploring the world with them.

All About Katie

“Katie is in incredible mother. She cares deeply for everyone she comes into contact with. She spends her time building relationships and serving those around her. She loves volleyball, reading, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.” -Matt
One of Katie’s favorite things about parenting is seeing the joy and playfulness of Sienna. Katie believes that bringing up children is such a special gift. She has a lot of fun goofing around with Sienna and knows that adding another child to our family will be double the fun. She can’t wait to love and care for another child, and to watch her children play together.

All About Sienna

Sienna joined our family through adoption in April 2020. She loves dancing to music and playing with her cousins and friends. She is very curious about the world around her. Her favorite question is, “What is this?” She is friendly and kind, and we have been overwhelmed with love for her. She already talks about babies and we know she will be a great sister!
We are sad that we did not have the opportunity to meet Sienna’s birth parents, but are grateful to have an ongoing relationship with Sienna’s birth-aunt and birth-grandmother. We enjoy sharing stories with them about Sienna as she grows. We exchange photos and emails often. We keep all of the letters they send so that Sienna can have them when she grows up. We have Facetimed with her birth family, and we look forward to meeting them in person after the pandemic.

All About Bongo

Our dog, Bongo, is a Maltese/Toy poodle who is very friendly. He is happy and energetic. He likes eating treats, running around, playing, and napping.

Our Home

We live in a city suburb near Boston. We have a cozy home in a friendly, kid-filled neighborhood. We both work from home doing Property Management which gives us flexible schedules. There are many beaches, playgrounds, schools, parks, and restaurants nearby.

Our Extended Family

We both come from large families, and we are all very close. We enjoy monthly get-togethers with Matt’s side of the family and weekly dinners with Katie’s side of the family. We also enjoy spending summer vacations together as a group and we often hang out with our siblings/parents/cousins in smaller settings. Both Katie’s mom and Matt’s mom babysit Sienna weekly. We are extremely thankful to have such a close-knit family that has welcomed Sienna so lovingly.

Our Church & Community

We are very connected to our local church community. Our faith is a huge part of who we are and how we live. We are thankful to have an encouraging and supportive group of close friends. Katie is in a book club with 10 other women, and Matt is involved with a men’s group at our church. We also attend a community group led by people at our church. The hosts have children who play with Sienna while we are gathering. We also like visiting many of our college friends, who have since moved away.
