ABOUT US

We met while working at the same company.  We quickly bonded and fell in love over our shared love of movies, holidays, and family. After two years, we relocated to Massachusetts for a job promotion and quickly made the new state home.

We have planted our roots here, purchased a home, and expanded our friend circle. Fernando is very popular with our neighbors due to his dedication to our outside holiday décor. We have nicknamed him “The Mayor”.

We remain very close with our family, with us visiting each other frequently. Our closest relatives are only an hour away in Rhode Island. Our first cousin Joseph, his wife, and three kids.

Stephanie’s Story

I am originally from New York where a strong single mother and our large extended family raised me. My dedication to hard work and how I value loyalty came from my mother. After graduating from High School, I put myself through college, achieving my bachelor’s degree in business, sometimes working two or three jobs at once.

While I am proud of my career and the life we have built, it is not all work and no play. I love to cook, paint, and explore new restaurants. I love movies and am a HUGE comedy fan. I look forward to introducing our child to culture, art and history, and can’t wait to take them to explore museums

Adoption holds a profoundly special place in my heart, as it has played a transformative role in the lives of numerous close family members, including my best friend of over 20 years. Witnessing the power of adoption in her life has been a source of inspiration and learning. I’ve seen how a strong family unit can evolve and thrive through an open and communicative approach to adoption.

My friend’s journey illuminated the immense positive impact of love, transparency, and connection on a person’s growth. I’ve witnessed firsthand how an open adoption can cultivate a loving home and foster an environment where understanding, empathy, and resilience flourish. This experience has shaped my belief in the incredible potential of adoption to create families and nurture and mold remarkable individuals.

Fernando’s Story

I was born and raised in New York surrounded by a very large family of 3 siblings and over 25 first cousins.  I am the eldest of four siblings; we are very close and constantly talk to each other, even when some of us live in different states.

I have a deep passion for technology and video games. I have both an associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in information technology. I currently work in that field and still have fun.

I like to play video games and have creative pursuits like cosplaying at conventions Like Comic-Con and other Anime Conventions and Halloween celebrations. During Halloween, our house is the most popular on the block; our house is heavily decorated, and we hand out lots of chocolate and candy to the neighborhood kids. Once Halloween is over, we immediately switch our focus to Christmas; I turn into Clark Griswold because I become even more obsessed with decorating the house for Christmas, and I won’t stop until all the lights work.  I am looking forward to sharing all the holiday experiences with our future children, from decorating to dressing up and even taking them to conventions once they are old enough. I will support them in sports and be their biggest fan and will definitely play some video games with them.

I used to do a lot of spartan races and mud runs where Stephanie would support and cheer me on. I have recently decided to get back into running and am training for the Providence Half-Marathon.

Stephanie and I met in 2013 and over the last decade, we’ve built a strong and loving partnership. We share our home with two cherished dogs. Louie is a Shih Tzu, and Lucky is a Yorkie. They are a combined weight of 30 lbs. of lovable, cuddly fun. With a foundation built on family, love, and a commitment to service, Stephanie and I are poised for the next chapter of our life.

Louie’s Story

I am Louie, and I was a college graduation gift to Stephanie in 2010. While it was just me and Mommy for a while, I was excited when Fernando joined our family. Mommy and I cuddle,  watch movies, and sometimes she sneaks me salmon. Fernando, my new dad would take me on hikes and to family barbeques, where I am very popular. I have a little brother named Lucky, who is smaller than me and takes over my bed. I am excited to add another brother or sister to my family so I can have someone to play with in our large fenced-in backyard. Lucky is too small and can get easily lost in the yard.

Lucky’s Story

I am Lucky and the latest family member. When Mommy and Daddy moved to Massachusetts, they adopted me from a not-so-great situation. I love our house and have fun walking around and exploring. I am the house security and notify the family when we have visitors. I love kids and love to cuddle. I have my own bed but sleep with my brother. My brother is over-cuddling with me as he says I hog the bed. When I think of how much my family embraced and loved me, I know they would make great parents.

Home/Community

We currently own a 3-bedroom ranch in a residential neighborhood. We have a fenced backyard and are within walking distance of two parks.

We have great relationships with all of our neighbors and often attend each other’s parties and barbeques. The neighbors directly across the street have a young toddler who we have grown to love.

We are very proud of our home and take great pride in its maintenance and condition. It is a perfect family home.
